Research Interests:

Emelia is a graduate student at University of Massachusetts Boston studying microbial diversity in soils.  During her project, she collected soils from around the world and used molecular techniques to characterize Crenarchaeota, a little known soil microbe that may have implications in the nitrogen cycle.  She plans to graduate this spring and is actively looking for a post-doctoral position.
